Hainan Province (in simplified Chinese 海南省) is the province in China which has the largest area of ocean. Hainan is having a tropical maritime monsoon climate, with annual temperature less than 15 degrees Celsius. January and February would be the months with coldest weather, which is just about 16 to 21 degrees Celsius. In July and August, it would be the hottest months, with about 25 to 29 degrees Celsius. Besides the mountains in the central part of the Province, the daily average temperature was over 10 degrees Celsius.
The eastern part of Hainan Island is a location where many typhoons would pass by, and more than 70% of annual rainfall in Hainan Province actually comes from the summer rainy season and typhoons.

Centipede Island (in simplified Chinese 蜈支洲岛) is located in the northern part of Sanya City, near to the Lingshui Bay. It is a very famous island in Sanya and of course, in Hainan.
Ths Centipede Island is very near to a highway connecting Sanya City and the Island, and therefore, traffic to this Island is very convenient. In fact, this Island is not a very raw one. Since the government made the decision to open up this Island for tourists, a lot of construction work had been done to improve the road of this Island, and there are a lot of things done to make this place a better condition for tourists to visit. Therefore, you do not need to worry that you are visiting a very raw, dangerous island.

Hainan Tropical Ocean World (in simplified Chinese 海南热带海洋世界) is the first large-scale theme park with the theme of both “tropical” and “Ocean”. It is located in Binhai West Road in Haikou on the west side in Hainan.
The Hainan Tropical Ocean World has a land area accounting for 538 acres, with 100 acres of beach area and the sea area was about 200 acres, and there is also an extension of an offshore platform.

Ends of the Earth Scenic Area (in simplified Chinese 天涯海角风景区) is a very famous and popular tourist spot in Hainan and it is listed as “Must Visit” in many tourist books. If you travel westbound of Sanya City for 26 kilometers along the coastal foreshore, you can reach a Ma Mountain and after reaching the foot of this mountain, you would be able to see the great view of “the ends of the earth corner”. When visitors arrive at this, it seems that they have reached the end of the world. Of course, this is just a geographical sense.

Nanshan Temple (in simplified Chinese 南山寺) is located in the southern part of the of Sanya City, which covers an area of 400 acres. Under the construction plan, there had been meditation hall, towers, and supporting Office of the Court being set up in the temple. Of course, as a Buddhist temple, the above things are preliminary and essential. Surely, there would be a Buddhist being placed in the temple to give the meaning and sense of Buddhism. Xisha Islands (in simplified Chinese 西沙群岛) is located about 180 miles south-east from Hainan Islands, stretching from northeast to southwest. It is 250 kilometers long and 150 kilometers wide and it is composed of 45 small islands and reef. East to the Xiasha Islands if the YiTak Island, and to the north of the Xisha Islands there are 7 other islands including the Shidao and Yongxing Island. To the west, there are the Wing-lok Islands and also 8 coral islands.

Sanya Bay (in simplified Chinese 三亚湾) is located next to the Sanya urban area, which is 22 kilometers long. The Bay is long in term of the coastal line and the sand is very beautiful and white. There are small trees onshore and together with the beautiful clean water, Sanya Bay has got a very beautiful scenery and every year, it attracts many people to visit this Bay.
The coast road through the city was built here in 1995. Near to the Bay area, there are three waterfront plazas, and a coastal park. Under the planning, the long Gulf, is divided into three sections and they are all closed to other tourist spots in Sanya District. There are a lot of water sports and other recreational activities in Sanya Bay and therefore, it is surely a very popular resort in Hainan.

Hai Tomb (in simplified Chinese海瑞墓) is one of the key units to be protected by the country. The tomb was initially constructed before the Ming Dynasty in 1589, under the order of the Emperor. According to a traditional rumor, after Hai Rui’s death, his coffin fell down at a piece of ground during the transportation. Thus, people thought that it was Hai Rui’s decision to be buried in this piece of ground and therefore, people decided to build the tomb at the place, which is the place now we call the Hai Tomb.
